Light & Heavy Glass Magic Trick
| Description: |
Martin Breese asks the question - what is the effect?
“The title that I have given it makes it pretty obvious but to clarify, this is what it is. You take a drinking glass and show it all around and if it is full of water you pour out the water or drink it and then you can place the tumbler on absolutely any portable firm surface that you wish to use. I used an empty DVD case but you can use a small tray, a book or basically any firm, flat and portable surface.
You place the tumbler on the book, for instance, and then you cover it with a handkerchief or scarf and you ask the spectator to lift the glass up by a couple of inches. They do that and everything is as it should be. You pretend to hypnotise them and tell them that the glass will be too heavy to lift and again ask them to lift the glass. There is absolutely no way that they can lift the glass (actually is made out of plastic) from whatever surface it is resting on.
The glass can be shown all around and there are no attachments or magnets or hooks or extras. As far as I am concerned it is a total baffler and at £15, it is one of the best tricks of its type to have come along in years. It may well be a really old principle that is used but I have never come across it before.
If you trust my judgement - and most of my customers and magical friends do - please get this one. You will be really pleased and basically it is so easy to do that minimal practice is needed. Absolutely brilliant and I give it five stars out of five.” |
